In restoration and heritage preservation, deconstruction and material reuse are not new – we do this within projects all the time. However, how do we apply these same principles to allow for the movement of materials between projects in a way that we can trust, and that minimizes the need for excessive testing?
Green Salvaged Materials was born from a need to solve this problem. Please reach out to us to answer the question “Is this material any good? Is it worth salvaging? Can it be reused?” so that the right questions can be asked up front, with processes implemented to ensure the viability and reuse of the material in its next life.
By collecting or brokering material that meets the Industry Standard Best Practice, we hope to simplify and incentivize the reuse process and play our part in building the circular economy.
The greenest materials are the ones that already exist – let’s work together to make this happen. If interested in being a supporting partner in our supply chains, or have projects that this methodology can be applied to – please reach out!
